Kurdistan Olympic Committee confirmed on Saturday the 23 of December solidarity with ُErbil Club by refusing to organize the Arab Championship for Judo in the Erbil City at the end of next March to protest against the positions of President of the Iraqi Judo Association, Samir Moussaoui, denying Erbil to participate in the AFC Cup after dissolution of the Union Central football by people from the Iraqi Olympic Committee, including Samir al-Musawi. 
For his part, Samir al-Musawi, in his interview with the Al-Sabah newspaper in its edition of 1873 on Saturday 23 of January, said that this news is untrue and that he had had several contacts which confirm that the tournament will be held on schedule.
